Riley the Wonder Cat, part 2
[info]teflon2000 had an early start yesterday morning, and left before I got out of bed. Which meant that he wasn't on hand to help give Wonder Cat his antibiotics. I figured I could always ring mum is needs be, but thought I'd give it a go on my own.

There's a stool in the kitchen that I use when I'm cooking, as soon as I picked up the tablets off the shelf he ran into the kitchen, leapt up on the stool and purred at me. Interesting. So I thought I'd just try holding the tablet out to him on my hand, like we do with treats. He sniffed it, licked it, then et it. My cat really *is* self-medicating. He did it again for [info]teflon2000 last night, and again this morning.

I really hope he doesn't grow out of all this lovely as he gets older. He's currently curled up on the couch sulking because I won't let him outside.

Here's a litle pic of him playing in his travel cage yesterday...

Okay I want your cat. What kind of cat just eats their pill?! Fascinating!

I know, right? If it's any consolation, he does have very fast growing, very sharp claws. Which he's currently poking me in the leg with. He's lucky he's cute.

I wish my cat would just eat her pills.

We have to force her mouth open and use what looks like a pill-shooter thing to shoot it in the back of her mouth, then we hold her mouth shut until she swallows.

That's too weird.

Sam is not too bad but he doesn't just *eat it*.

Flash is less cooperative. He gets his dew claw and sticks it deep into the webbing between my forefinger and thumb, and then tears, shortly before ripping through my clothes and slashing my stomach.

That's one cute cat you have there.

Yeah, Janny was a monster about things like that. Worming time was an absolute nightmare. That cat could detect worm paste mixed into her food, and eat all the food from around it, leaving nothing but a pile of worm paste in her bowl. Tablets were not an option, ever. At least not if I wanted my skin.
